The Louvre is one of France’s historic monuments, is one of the largest museums in the world, and is the world’s most visited.
The museum contains approximately 35,000 objects from before the 19th century.
The Louvre was one of the few filming locations to grant permission to the crew.
They were required to use a replica of the Mona Lisa as they were not allowed to shine light on the actual portrait.

Château Villette, which contains 18 bedrooms, is located in Condecourt, France which is approximately 40 minutes from Paris.
This manor also includes many exterior building such as a chapel, horse stable, greenhouse, etc.

The filming of the explosion at this location was controlled by the local authorities would not allow the film crew to use real explosives.
They substituted the explosives for high-pressure nitrogen which produces the same effect.
Using visual effects, the final scene appeared to have more destruction and flying debris.
